We added some pictures to the Kitchen page

I finally had some time to add some pictures to the Kitchen Cabinet Refacing page. Those are from our most current project. We do not have “before” pictures. The kitchen had suffered two incidental fires covered by white paint–clean but as plain as you can get…

The customers needed a light kitchen as they did not have sufficient daylight, but they did not want plain ash or birch (the lightest color woods). The solution? We made two-color doors–the frame is maple stained in light brown which enhances the natural beauty of the wood and the panel (and cabinet fronts) are ash which brings more light. We also played with other natural materials–terracotta in the color of the door frames and natural stone very close in color to the ash panels. We also included a multi-colored natural stone back splash which brought together the two main colors plus the black of the appliances. Oh, and the floors–natural white oak engineered wood (similar to the popular laminates but it actually has wood in it!).

Take a look! We love this project, the customers love it too!
